“Herbs and Teas For Controlling Gout?”

7pm MST, Wednesday, March 18, 2015

line-breakOh man, I messed this gout hangout up . . . I didn’t do something right with the audio and it didn’t record! I’m sorry, it was a great hang out! Anyway, enjoy the music and let me recap what it was all about and why I wanted to do a hangout on using herbs and teas for gout.

Herbs often get overlooked for their health promoting and healing qualities. I feel like I am guilty of this – that is why I wanted to bring more attention to herbs and what they can do for us in regards to gout.

Herbs Are Often the Basis of Pharmaceuticals

In general, there are many very powerful and even dangerous compounds and substances contained in natural herbs. As gout folk, we are all pretty well acquainted with or the Autumn Crocus. What most of us don’t know is that it is poisonous. Used properly, it is a very effective anti-inflammatory. However, if compounded improperly it can cause uncomfortable gastric distress, make you quite ill, and to an extreme, cause death.

The active ingredients in many different herbs form the basis for many of the pharmaceutical drugs we see on the market today. They contain phytochemicals that are helpful with many different health conditions including digestive dysfunction, fighting cancer and tumors, boosting immunity, relieving inflammation, improving cardiovascular health, and they can be antiseptic, anti-fungal, and anti-viral and much more.

Hi Bert,
Just wanted to check in and let you know things are going pretty well.  No major flare ups.  Your advice has given me a new outlook on my health.  I have not eaten any chicken meat or fish since Thanksgiving.  I have lost around 30 lbs. and counting.(need about 100 more)  But I am heading in the right direction.  I have recently incorporated chia seeds into my diet and was wondering if you had an opinion of them.  They seem to be at very least a great source of fiber.

Thanks again
Jim

. . .

What I wanted to highlight with this hangout (and I did, you just can’t hear it!) is several herbs that can be used to help ease the pain and swelling of gout, reduce or inhibit uric acid, and help to improve kidney function and eliminate uric acid. I referenced another post I did a long time ago called Herbal Natural Remedies for Gout. Rather than rewrite the whole post for you right here, just click over there and enjoy the education.

Bert Middleton

“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good!  And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.” Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life. Prescription drugs were of limited help… And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible. Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain.  And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.

Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now. Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle. Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours. And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD! So you can finally start LIVING again!
