My preoccupation with what contributes to the development (and pain) of gout has lead me to Bruce Lipton and learning more about Gene Activity.

Gene activity is one of so many contributing factors that determine why we create all different kinds of diseases and conditions including causes of gout. Our gene activity is certainly one consideration, but the quality, quantity, and frequency of what we eat and drink is the obvious place to start most of the time.

There are two other avenues or arenas that I’ve come to understand could actually be even more important; toxic chemicals in our air and what we touch, and our own metabolism. The cumulative effect of the chemicals our bodies produce when we create stress for ourselves serve to build up dangerous levels of toxic acid waste including uric acid.

But What About the Gene Activity and the Genetic Component Defining Gout?

Here lies the subject of an on-going series of posts I will be making; Epigenetics. This is a short excerpt dealing with gene activity from the overview of Dr. Lipton’s book, The Biology of Belief;

“The implications of this research radically change our understanding of life. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology; that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts.”

We are gout fighting warriors! Thank you Bert.  What you are doing means so much to me. I have difficulty expressing, in words, how much I feel your thoughts and efforts change the world. We are gout fighting warriors!

Thank you brother!  ~ Jon

Gene Activity is Influenced by Our Thoughts?

This goes far beyond the metabolic acids we produce when we encounter difficult times; “our bodies can be changed as we retrain our thinking” could put a serious dent in the bottom-line of the makers of allopurinol and colchicine.

The game has changed; we no longer need to believe we are victims of our genetics and gene activity.

   Remember!  Gene activity probably has a lot less to do with why you have gout than you think.

Bert Middleton

“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good!  And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.” Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life. Prescription drugs were of limited help… And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible. Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain.  And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.

Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now. Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle. Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours. And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD! So you can finally start LIVING again!
