(7/8/16 – I had to add a bit of an update to this post. Eating less is not really the answer, although if you are still eating commercially produced foods, much of which is processed, it’s probably a good idea. I have sprinkled my updated comments throughout the post in parentheses)
Eat Less, Lose Weight…NOW!
Eat less, lose weight to avoid chronic disease…now where I have I heard that before?
It seems really weird that the USDA would now be saying that – I mean, isn’t the USDA in the pocket of the Corn Growers Association, Monsanto, and the Dairy Farmers of America? Those guys are going to go broke with the USDA running around giving the American people the idea they should eat less, lose weight.
Nevertheless, it does fit into what I’ve been ragging on everybody about it so they can make it part of their gout diet. It still seems a little odd to me how much emphasis is put on pharmaceutical drugs and “health” care. Why are we all of a sudden telling everybody to eat less, lose weight? What changed?
What About High Fructose Corn Syrup?
If you ask me, why don’t they have the same “eating or drinking this crap could be hazardous to your health” labels on most of the trash food that is available at our grocery stores?
The same goes for fast food joints; the “hazard” label needs to be put on every wrapper and bag. And none of that even addresses the all the pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, GMO, fertilizers, nitrates and who knows what else that are all highly controversial with evidence of causing various diseases and cancers.

Hi!! Wanted to update you on things. I am doing great! Been drinking my tea, taking epsom salt baths and keeping my ph balanced. Drinking lots of water and eating right (except for the cake and a few Filipino food treats on my daughter’s 18th bday last week). I haven’t had to use a walker OR cane and I am just so happy right now. Losing weight slowly and no more fast/junk food. Thank you again so much for taking the time last month to help me. I swear my life has changed and I don’t want to go back to the way it was again. I can’t believe I can do my workout DVDs now tooWishing you a wonderful day! ~ Lany

Here’s How According To The USDA
I took this directly from their PressRelease:
- enjoy your food, but eat less (eat more healthy natural fat like butter from pasture fed cows and coconut oil)
- avoid over-sized portions (small portions of good clean proteins, the right amount of good fats, some fresh fruit, and ALL the fresh vegetables you can!)
- make half your plate fruits and vegetables (see above)
- switch to fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk (commercial dairy is crap – find a source for full fat, raw, whole milk)
- compare sodium in foods like soup, breads, and frozen meals – and choose the foods with lower numbers (don’t eat any of this crap! it’s all processed!)
- drink water instead of sugary drinks (absolutely!)
I love it! Especially the part about your plate should be half fruits and vegetables. It’s going to be interesting to watch what happens in the next 3 to 5 years with the way that restaurants and TV advertising spin this new “eat less, lose weight” directive. And what will the pharmaceutical companies do? They can’t be happy – there’s no money in healthy people!
☆ What’s Your Plan To “Eat Less, Lose Weight”?

“I know your pain. Let me help you kill your gout for good! And teach you to advocate for yourself and take ownership of your gout recovery, by showing you how to live the gout-free lifestyle.” Two decades ago, Bert Middleton found himself diagnosed with gout. Like 8.3 million other people in the United States (approximately 4% of the population), he struggled helplessly with the physical, emotional, social, and financial impact that gout left unchecked can have on your life. Prescription drugs were of limited help… And the terrible pain of regular gout attacks left him unable to enjoy even the simplest daily pleasures. His marriage was suffering. His finances were spiraling due to the impact gout had on his ability to work. And maintaining a social life was often nearly impossible. Tophi surgeries left him in terrible pain. And he found himself depressed … and angry … that gout was stealing years of his life.
Until one day, after hundreds of hours of research and self-experimentation, Bert finally had a breakthrough and created a blueprint for a way of living that would prove to be “the answer” to living gout-free for nearly a decade now. Today, Bert and his “Gout Wife” Sharon devote their evenings and weekends to educating other gout sufferers on how to live the gout-free lifestyle. Showing others his 911 Emergency Response Gout Recovery Plan for getting PAINFUL gout attacks under control in as little as 4 hours. And then, how to make daily choices that keep gout under control for GOOD! So you can finally start LIVING again!
